Hold the front page! A figure from NEMO-3’s latest paper is featured on the cover of the latest edition of the European Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields.

The figure, from NEMO-3’s analysis Final results on $^{82}$Se double beta decay to the ground state of $^{82}$Kr from the NEMO-3 experiment, graces the cover of The European Physical Journal C Volume 78 No 10 October 2018 . It shows the distribution of the summed electron energies in the $\beta\beta$ channel and the ratio between the observed and Monte Carlo predicted data. The background and $2\nu\beta\beta$ predicted contributions are shown, along with the necessary excess that would be needed to measure a $0\nu\beta\beta$ signal. This analysis allowed NEMO-3 to set a limit on the neutrinoless double-beta decay half life for light neutrino exchange in $^{82}$Se of $T_{1/2}^{0\nu\beta\beta} \gt 2.5\times10^{23}$ years at 90% confidence level.
