Miroslav's thesis scoops Dean's Award
On 14th of October 2019, the annual Dean’s award ceremony took place in the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The Dean’s award is awarded for the best PhD. thesis of the previous academic year (in this case 2018/2019) in four categories: physics, mathematics, informatics and didactics (of natural sciences). Our collaborator Miroslav Macko, whose PhD. thesis was prepared as a co-supervised project between Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia), Université de Bordeaux (France) and IEAP CTU in Prague (Czech Republic), received the award in the physics category.
The title of the thesis in three languages was: English: “SuperNEMO Experiment: Study of Systematic Uncertainties of Track Reconstruction and Energy Calibration.
The thesis was prepared under the co-supervision of Ivan Štekl (IEAP CTU in Prague) and Fabrice Piquemal (CENBG, Université de Bordeaux).
